This week, I’m really resonating with the article below about “Thinking Time”. After a few hectic days filled with kids' activities, household chores, and back-to-back work calls, I often catch myself saying, "I just need some time to think." It reminds me of an idea from a parenting book I just read, which explores how we can help kids connect different parts of their brains just by encouraging them to recount their experiences (everything from “What was your favorite part of vacation last year?” to “What did you do with the babysitter today?”). Doesn’t everyone need that kind of thinking time to reflect and make sense of their own stories and the world around them?
