One of my favorite parts of running my own business is getting to define what work-life balance actually means. For me, it’s not about shutting the laptop at 5 p.m. every day, it’s about having the freedom to flex. Sometimes that means answering emails on a slow Saturday afternoon so I can spend Monday at the beach without a second thought. Or catching up on a project in the evening so I’m fully present at my kid’s school event the next morning. It’s not the same as a boss demanding you log on after hours. It’s the gift of choice: blending work and life in a way that fits your priorities.

  • Hope Over Gratitude. I’ve been very faithful to gratitude journaling for about 9 months, and have found it has made zero difference in my life. I do think this small shift to hope could yield a bigger impact. 🕊️

  • Designs for the Queen Elizabeth Memorial. I’m a huge Queen Elizabeth fan, I even have a t-shirt to prove it. The memorial plans look beautiful! 👑

  • 30 second rule for conversations. Honestly, I think women tend to naturally nail this. 💅

  • Artful Agenda profile. I appreciate hearing the truth from entrepreneurs. Not just “If you’re passionate this will succeed!” but the nitty-gritty of “Half my budget had to go to marketing.” 🎨

What are you balancing and blending in this season?

  • How to Find Jobs Not on LinkedIn. It’s worth a shot to try a non-saturated market! Once upon a time I found a legit EA client on Craigslist. 🗞️

  • LEGO Pet Pals Puzzle. We honestly can’t get enough of these LEGO puzzles. Once we finished, I was tempted to tear it apart and start again because I felt like the rest of the family got to do more than me. 🧩

  • Shark Vacuum. Shark is one of my few brand loyalties. I thought my vacuum broke this week (turns out the filter was just really dirty, whew) and I immediately put this in my cart. Keep an eye out for Prime deals too!
