Hello from the other side.

Thoughts on email, The Parent Trap, Lemon Turkey Meatballs, etc...

Today I’m sharing a thought-provoking piece by Ann Patchett on her regrets about email—something that probably gets more attention from me each day than I'd like to admit. While I don’t harbor strong feelings about email itself, it has become a constant companion in my routine, the app I likely open most often, even while I maintain other boundaries like screen limits and no social media on my phone. The article makes me wonder: Are there better ways to manage my email time? Is it possible to make email feel less like a never-ending checklist? Ann's reflections might spark a little inspiration for us all to rethink our relationship with our inboxes.

  • How to take care of yourself. I’m a sucker for quizzes, and this is a sweet, helpful one focused on self-care. 🧖‍♀️

  • Heated mouse. My office has two full walls of windows which is great for light and terrible for temperature control. I bundle up in the winter but this mouse is the only thing that keeps my fingers warm while working. 🔥

  • Notion email. If there’s an app that could pull me away from Gmail it might be this. Launching 2025. 📧
